“Letting there be room for not knowing is the most important thing of all… When there’s a big disappointment we don’t know if that’s the end of the story. It may be just the beginning of a big adventure.” Pema Chodron, When Things Fall Apart

Life can be very beautiful, and it can also be very challenging. Whether it‘s a break up, a bad review from a boss, loss of a job, death or illness of a friend or family member, a financial downturn, or any number of stressful life events, sooner or later all of us face hard times. Troubling feelings or behavior might appear. We may be drinking or eating more than is really good for us, late to work or not keeping up with school work, angry at a friend or family member, or the world in general. Life is not what we want it to be.We long for possibilities that seem out of reach. We may feel lonely, down on ourselves, or continually unsettled and unable to sleep. Sometimes a friend or family member will notice that we’re having a difficult time and suggest that we consider therapy. Sometimes we hope for someone to notice that we’re feeling badly, but instead we feel invisible, isolated and powerless.

Whatever the difficulty, you don’t have to be alone with it. Psychotherapy is an opportunity to tell your story in a safe, non-judgmental environment. If there’s one thing that I have come to believe over the course of my life, it is that there is tremendous power in one person talking honestly to another.

This website is designed to help you understand the range of services I offer and my approach to psychotherapeutic work. I hope the information is helpful to you.
