NEW CLASS:
Parents of Teenager Class/Support Group
Starting in April 2010 my colleague, Richard Epstein, Ph.D. and I will be offering a new class for parents of teenagers. Many parents are puzzled by the behavior of their teenage sons or daughters, and worried about the choices their teen is making. This class will be a supportive environment designed to help parents improve their relationship with their teenage sons or daughters by improving communication and decreasing reactivity. Together we will examine ways parents can connect with their teens and foster a safe and supportive environment at home. The class will be a combination of didactic materials, exercises and group discussion.
We will be meeting Tuesday evenings April 5 through May 25, 2010 from 7:00 – 8:30 P.M. at Northbrae Community Church, 941 The Alameda in Berkeley. The cost $240 for the eight classes and the group will be limited to 12 parents.
